Elemis - Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm

Hello My lovelies,

I've recently made a little bit of a splurge on some skincare items that I've been eyeing up for some time.

One of the items is this beautiful cleansing balm from elemis. I've never once tried anything from elemis and couldn't wait to give this a try.

I've only had this in my stash for nearly a week and I knew after the first use I had to update you guys on just how amazing it is.
So you could really class this post as a first impressions but I just had to get my laptop out and give you guys the lowdown.

In the box you get the cleansing balm (obviously) , a cloth to wash it all off with and a little spoon type thing to get the product out with.

I think that's a great idea as it stops you putting your fingers in and its just great for hygiene purposes.

I start off my scooping a little amount on to my fingertips , seriously a little goes a long way with this product. I then warm the balm up in my hands and after a couple of seconds it turns into an oil. I then massage all over my face and neck. This helps remove any left over makeup left on after my makeup removal, and any left over grime from the day or night before.

Next step is to use the cloth is comes with, hold it over my face and just inhale the aroma coming from the balm (which is just divine) . I then use the cloth to buff over the skin, getting rid of any dead skin cells and leaving my skin with a beautiful deep cleansed glow.

This honestly gives me such a great clean, I know it would be amazing for makeup removal but I like to use it after and use separate makeup removal products.

Ive been using this morning and night and a little tip that's on the information booklet that's in the box is to massage it on , get in the bath and leave on for 10 minutes for a luxurious nourishing facemask. This is something I done last night and it just left my face feeling so nourished and soft.

So lets take a deep dive into what makes this balm so good, other than the texture, smell and cleansing power.
Taken from the website :

"Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm combines precious starflower, elderberry and Optimega™ oils with rose and mimosa waxes, and anti-ageing padina pavonica to deeply cleanse, nourish and smooth for a glowing complexion."

It has won a whole load of impressive awards and my favourite part is that Elemis has a promise on this product to say that it is free from Parabens, DEA, SLS, SLES, Mineral oils, Artificial Colours and silicones. It has active plant extracts and its kind on your skin.

This is also part of the Elemis Anti Ageing system, this focuses on three distinct actions needed for effective anti- ageing.
-Anti- Pollution detox : Anti - Oxidants and encapsulated vitamins attach skin blocking toxins and rejuvenate the cellular skin matrix. This clears a pathway for the delivery of anti-ageing formulations.
-Active Cellular Delivery : Formulations containing highly concentrated and clinically proven actives are transported to a deeper cellular level where they release their cell regenerating activity, dramatically increasing hydration and fighting the effects of skin ageing.
- Extra -Cellular Reinstructing: The finishing touches collagen -supporting and cell plumping actives are formulated to target and strengthen the outer skin matrix. The instant and lasting result is a smoother, firmer more youthful appearance.

This balm leaves my skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and also very nourished. It gives a glow to my skin that I am just obsessed with. It feels so lovely after using it and people have noticed a difference with my complexion . I honestly look forward to cleansing my face every morning and night,
So you know that this is a good product to be putting on your skin.

If you are after a new cleansing product / balm in your life then I seriously would consider getting yourself this pot of magic..

This is priced at £39.50 and can be bought at Feel Unique who until Monday have 10% off sitewide, so grab it that little bit cheaper while you can.

Do you have any more Elemis products you would recommend I try?

Thanks for reading

Alexandra Elizabeth
