Aloha readers..
Last week I missed weight loss Wednesdays due to being an explorer in Paris, and because of this I totally forgot all about this week , bad Alex

But I'm back and just got home from slimming world and I'm 5.5lb down YAAAY I could have kissed my weigh lady when she told me I had lost that much :) I'm a very happy Alex and it's just gave me the motivation I was lacking.

This weeks post is all about at home workouts.
One app that I use and like is the Nike Training Club app.it's like a personal trainer at home and it's FREE
It's designed specifically for women and you can set yourself goals if you want to get lean , toned or strong.
It gives you a 4 week program to follow and mixes it up to keep you motivated.
I really have enjoyed doing this and it's not cost me a penny :) each workout is about 30-40mins long so you can easily fit it into your routine.

Secondly I have scoured the internet for some printable workouts that I can also use.

Here is a few if your wanting to get involved.
Just add them into your day and your done :)

Have a go, tell me what you think

Hi dolls,

Payday has finally arrived, so this morning I made a little trip to boots and came out with a little beauty and skincare haul.
One of the products was this sinful colours nail varnish.
I have never tried a nail varnish from this collection before but I seen this colour and just knew it would be the perfect valentines day colour, with each of their nail varnishes being £1.99 It was a bargain and I popped it into my basket.

My nails still need abit of a clean up but how pretty are they.
I picked up the colour ruby ruby and I'm really happy with it. It's a ruby red colour with hints of shimmer in it.
It's highly pigmented and the colour on my nails is just one coat.
Over all I'm pretty happy and for the price I can't complain.
I would definitely buy these polishes again and they have loads of lovely colours on display.

You can buy this for £1.99 from your local boots

Hello,
In keeping with the whole nude thing going on my blog at the moment I thought I would post about lips to go with yesterday's nude nails post :)

Maybelline had a buy one get one half price deal on so I had to try the nude lips as it's not something I usually go for :) I'm a red lipstick sort of girl or pinks. So I thought while they where on offer I would try them out.

I love a nude lip and have always wanted that Kim kardashian look her makeup is always flawless.

I am super duper dissapointed as these colours just make me look dead to the world. They just washed me out completly :( .

I won't try the testers EVER in a store I find it extremely unhygienic and I feel sick at the thought of placing it to my lips.

Now I'm sure these lip colours would look fabulous on some people but I guess I just picked out the wrong colours for me.
I'm very fair skinned so it just blended into my foundation.

I've tried again and just put more contour and more blusher as they don't look as bad and I could wear them :)

I picked up these two maybelline lipsticks.
I love the packaging. That the lid matches the lipstick colour and the silver base.
I picked tantalizing taupe and sultry sand.

Tantalizing tail swatch

And on the lips ... I don't mind this colour it's the best out of the two I'm sure with a bit of blending out this would look lovely. As a sheer wash of colour.
Sultry sand.
This really washed me out the most. But again I'm sure if I placed it with another colour it would look better.

Do you have any nude lipsticks you woul reccomend?
Maybe a blog post with swatches I could see?

These lipsticks retail is £6.99 in boots but with the other being half price it was a deal I wouldn't miss

Thank for reading and don't forget to follow :)

Hi again,
I feel like it's been forever since I have posted a beauty related post.

So today I went into SuperDrug and took my pick of the nude offerings.
Maybelline had a buy one get one half price deal.
I couldn't resist.
I went for these two nail products from the nude collection.
I bought 227 in your flesh and 229 bronze me up glitter polish.

This is the in your flesh colour.
I usually hate maybelline varnishes as they always always chip. But I thought I would try again to love these polishes.

I then dabbed on the bronze me up polish on the tips.

I love this look , and I love the fact that I usually always paint more skin than nail, but the brush of these varnishes make sure I only apply the polish to the nail without any touch ups so I'm quite happy with the finish.

The bronze is a lovely bronze glitter that really complements the nude varnish.

Have you tried this? Link me your posts and pictures :)

You can find these polishes for £3.99 each at SuperDrug stores

Hi again ,

This week hasn't been my most motivated. After loosin. 4.5 lb last week I feel like I've eased off my weight loss wagon.

Don't get me wrong all my meals have been slimming world friendly but I've added a sneeky ammout of chocolate, crisps and wine in this week.
I feel super bloated and I don't like it.
I was struggling on what I could post about today and asking Jennifer what she thinks, I've decided it's on motivation.

I know it's only week 2 but I'm sure I'm not the only one lacking motivation.
I know it's hard to be strict with yourself all the time, but loosing weight is a lifestyle change. Even if it's not to loose weight but to become fit and healthy.

Don't get me wrong I don't think cutting out every bad food forever is good for you. If you deprive yourself then you want it more.
All food is good in moderation.....

But my problem is I'm greedy, I can eat a whole packet of Pringles in one sitting right after my dinner and then chocolate after.

I don't eat until I'm full.. I eat untill I'm stuffed.
If I eat my dinner and I'm craving chocolate, crisps and popcorn. Even though I'm full, ile eat them. Hence why I gained loads of weight . At Christmas I feel like all I done was eat crappy food .. I didn't care I just absolutely loved stuffing my face.
I'm also a comfort eater.. Had a bad day? Ile eat.. Had a couple of bad days Ile eat even more. It's a bad cycle , but it's something I've learnt to control(ish).

My top tips for motivation:

So my first thing is to remember why your wanting to loose weight? Was it to fit into a dress?, for a holiday, to feel better in yourself? Whatever the reason just remember why. Even write it down so everytime your wanting to eat something you don't think you should then you can see it and may put it back in the cupboard.

Secondly, imagine yourself at your goal weight. How amazing will you feel? How good will it feel buying jeans a size smaller? How good will they look on you?
Again this doesn't have to be weight loss.. Even if your happy with your weight and just want to tone up. Just imagine your body change :)

Thirdly.. Don't beat yourself up for chowing down on everything fabulously fattening :). Tomorrow is a new day.. Start again and get on with it. Don't feel bad. Even if you don't loose weight that week. Your in control of your body, and sometimes a little splurge makes me want to work harder the following week.

4. JUST KEEP GOING.. you can do it, you will do it. Gotta keep making better lifestyle changes.

5. Life doesn't revolve around your eating habbits. Sometimes you do have a holiday to go on, or a lunch in your fave burger place, or a friends party all food included. Just go and have fun. I never diet whenever I'm going anyware like that. If I'm eating out and I want carbonara, I'm getting carbonara.like I said above if I deprive myself of the food I love ile give up and binge. I just try and be good the rest of the week and blowout that one day :)

6. Write a food diary of what you have eaten , if you see you have eaten a whole bag of toffees and a tube of Pringles it may put you off, but it also helps you monitor your intake of calories. A good app is my fitness pal.

7.take a before shot? Imagine how amazing it your after will look next to it :)

So like last week here are some motivational pictures to help see you through the week.

All I need to do now is follow my own advice :) happy Wednesday guys :)

Hi dolls..

Tonight was date night with the girlfriends...
We decided on nandos and then the cinema.
Then one of my friends suggested we try this new place in town called Smugglers cove. She loved this place and told me the chips where amazing (that sold it for me). This resturant is situated on Albert Dock in Liverpool city centre, so it fits right in. I had heard bits and pieces about it but didn't quite know what it was. I thought it was a rum bar but didn't sell food. Nevertheless we went for it.. And my my didn't we enjoy it.

This place has to be the No1 place for all who is interested in anything to do with pirates of the Caribbean or just pirates in general. The interior of this resturant is outstanding you really feel like your in a pirate ship.
They have a section for the resturant and a section for the bar.
So we got seated and scrolled the menu.. May I add the menu was a treasure map.

While we where browsing the menu, we ordered our drinks. Our servers name was jess as she was just outstanding, my friend asked for a wine and she reeled off a whole list of wines she could choose from, then it was my turn I asked what dark rum they had to offer and she explained that they had 150 types. She asked if I liked spiced rum.. Which I do and the decision was made.
She then left us alone to browse the menu.

I'm sorry Whaaat... Look at this menu, I feel like Keira knightly as this point.

I opted for the Thai green curry and ordered a side of seasoned chips along with one of my friends, and my other friend picked a cheeseburger.

Our drinks came and the rum was just delicious.

Now we wait for our food, at this point I was pretty hungry and couldn't wait to have this curry in my belly.
Food service was quite quick and I was overly impressed with the presentation of the food. Again all pirate themed.

I know.. They served my rice is a shell.. Who does that.
I squeeled a little inside with excitement.
I love the little silly things a lot, and although it's just presentation of the food. I adored it and how imaginative it was and really fitted in with the theme of the resturant.
My friends burger was served in a barrel too.. With a little bottle of BBQ sauce and  a glass of relish aswell.

My food wasn't the best Thai green curry I've ever had. I found it tasted like chicken soup.. Nothing really Thai about it bar the coconut milk.
My friend really really enjoyed her burger and said it was one of the best she had.

The chips though.. Well my friend wasn't wrong they where fabulous. Just the right amount of seasoning and crispyness. I could have just sat all night long eating these chips.

I know they don't look like nothing special but believe me they were good.

So we polished off our food and then waited for the bill.
We held our breath thinking it may have been stupidly expensive.. But for the 3 of us drinks too the bill was £50.

I don't think this was a bad price at all, although I wasn't overly fussed on my food. The service was second to none by jess and the theme of the resturant was amazing.
Another waitress took our money and we waited a little over 15mins for our change.. In the end we had to ask for it which annoyed me.

I would go there again but try a different dish. Hopefully I can persuade the boyfriend to treat me.
I will defiantly be going to the bar though with 150 dark rums to choose from I know ile be in my element.
If your looking for a new resturant to try in Liverpool ..head here. I think if you are touring Albert Dock then this will be in keeping with the theme as it is a great fun place to be in. If I was a child again I know I would love it just as much as I do being a grown up.

Oh forgot to mention the best bit...

There is a Jack Sparrow look a like placed at the bar , taking to customers and again inkeeping with the theme.

How cool is this. I told you all you pirates of the Caribbean fans would love this place.

Hi dolls,
Couldn't belive my ears when I heard that real techniques where bringing out new brushes.
Everyone who knows me , knows that I just adore these brushes, no shedding and always gives me a flawless application, plus they are so god damn affordable.

So I've done a little bit of research on these beautiful brushes.
Yes they have been out in america for a little while but they are going to be landing in a boots near you very soon. I heard it was January 8th or even January 27th ..
These brushes are all retractable making them a must for on the go.
I religiously use the current lip liner brush and every time I put my hand in my bag I'm covered in lipstick and so is my bag. I'm so so glad they have a brush that I can keep in my handbag and have no mess.

The range contains 4 new brushes with 3 being retractable
They are as follows :

A bronzer brush (£12.99)

A kabuki brush (£11.99)

A lip brush (£5.99)

Silicone liner brush (£6.99)

This is the one thing other than the lip brush I'm excited about. I wonder how it will apply on my eyes...
Guess I'm gonna have to wait like most .

One thing I do know is that I'm so so excited .. Hurry up and get into my shopping bag.

Has anyone tried these yet?
Anybody as excited as Me?

Hi loves,

I bought these lovely lip butters the same time as the loreal glam shine sticks.
Again these where reduced to £5 so I picked myself up 2.
I already have a nude one which I just adore. It's the perfect nude for me and I couldn't wait to get my hands on some more colours.

The colours I picked up are : 045 cotton candy, 090 sweet tart.

How fabulous is the packaging ? I love the Chanel inspired quilt pattern and I also love the fact the outer shell mathss the colour In the lip butter.

On the top of the packaging it has a see through square so you can really see the colour you are about to apply to the lips.

I don't have a favourite out the two yet I just love them.
They are like a sheen over the lips nothing too pigmented but quite glossy

I love the consistency and how moisturising they are on the lips. The only problem is they don't stay on the lips very well but I'm not surprised with the formulation.
They had a fantastic colour range but most had sold out due to the fact they are on offer for £5

Have you tried the lip butters before? What's your favourite colour?

Hi dolls
So today I went to SuperDrug to try and find the maybelline baby skin primer... But to no prevail.
As I was scouring the shelves I noticed that quite a few of the stands had offers on. I went to the loreal  stand and seen that these balmy gloss sticks where on offer for £4.99 so I obviously had to pick up 2 out of the 3 colours they had on offer.
This is my second attempt of trying out the gloss stick beauty products. My first was a stick from rimmel which was a lovely nude colour but gave my lips a horrible tint to them once the colour had worn away. (Not impressed)
I also love the fact that these are twist-abled so your not wasting product.

I chose 915 die for guava (lightest pink out the 2) and 913 dare the dragon fruit (dark pink / berry one).

915 die for guava swatched

Lovely baby pink colour , with hints of glitter in it which just sets the colour off. A really girly colour. I really like this colour probably the best out the 2.

Second is the 913 dare the dragon fruit

Bad lighting I know but it's a light plum shade with again some shimmer in. I love the shimmer in it though . I know not alot of people like a shimmery lip colour but I'm quite girly so I like it.

Not a deep plum colour but beautiful never the less .

These feel lovely on the lips and none sticky at all and extremely glossy aswell. there is no fragrance to them as well as having a pointed tip which aids precision application.
My lips feel moisturised too which is good.
The only down side is that they don't last on the lips long enough but they do leave a lovely tint to them, its a your lips but better sort of tint.

I quite like this product and I would re-purchase :)

Have you tried these before? What did you think?

Hello dolls,
I'm sure this is my first post of 2014 :).
This post about my nightly skincare routine. This helps to keep my skin in tip top condition and look in great shape.
I'm quite new to the skincare routine, I was never to bothered about creams and things, but now I do it every night without fail.
It's like me time. I get to pamper myself and have lovely skin at the end.

So my first step is that I take off the days make up which can be quite a lot depending on where I've been.
I pump one pump of this loreal skin perfection 15 second miracle cleansing oil into the palm of my hand and onto a dry face a massage this into my skin. It quickly dissolves into the skin removing most of my make up instantly with no hassle whatsoever.
I rinse it off with hot water and then re fill my basin for my next cleaning product.

Considering I was just a face wash girl I now believe I might over cleanse. So after the oil I use the superdrug naturally radiant hot cloth cleanser.
I don't know if this has made any difference to my skin with it claiming that it awakens skins natural glow, but it really does make my skin silky smooth . I love it's deep cleansing action and how themuslin (inside box) feels on my skin ,exfoliating all over, I take this all over my face and onto my kneck in a circular motion, applied on wet skin, and then I buff away the product using the muslin cloth provided.

After this I pat my face dry with a clean towel and set to work on my lips, I don't always use this step. It 3 out of 7 nights I will use a little bit of this.. The lush bubblegum lip scrub. The taste is amazing and my lips feel super polished and dead skin free.

I then move from my bathroom to my vanity and use the products below firstly the 3 in 1 purifying micellar solution gets swept over my skin using the oval cotton pads below this picture, I then set to work on my eyes with the eye makeup remover incase there is any mascara left behind. I then cleanse the skin and finish off with the toner.

I wait for my skin to dry and then in circular motions ,I pub in from my neck in upward motions the No8 protect and perfect intense night cream. This is a new product that's got for Christmas so I'm just testing it out.

Once the face is sorted I then move into the rest of the body and lather myself in the soap and glory butter yourself moisture lotion. I just love the smell of this, I love how the product melts onto my skin and how it's none greasy.after then I just place on some hand cream.

And just before I go to sleep I finish off with a small dab of nail oil on my nails , this is nurture oil and it smells like raspberry ripple. Mine has lasted me forever because you only need the tiniest bit. I bought mine from a local salon

I now have fabulous glowing and cleansed skin, all ready for its beauty sleep.

What's your skincare routine for bed?
