Rooits and Rituals Hair treatment & GIVEAWAY

Hey there,

Its been a little while I know, but ive got a great hair care product to share with you and also you can be in with the chance of winning one for yourself.

When Roots and Rituals got in contact with me to try out their hair products, I jumped at the chance.

My hair is oily at the scalp and very dry at the ends, I wash my hair every other day, and always use a conditioner but my ends are just a mess from hair dying and the fact I used to have blonde hair doesn't really help the cause, I also have coloured hair that just lacks life and needs some TLC

Although I was sent this can I just say this stuff is amazing and is honestly the perfect products to add to your pamper routine.

In the set I received the hair oil, the matching conditioner and also the heated towel that you put on after you have applied the oil and leave it on for 40 minutes to let the oil really penetrate the hair.

First off you plug in the battery pack to the mains and charge it up until the L.E.D light turns green

Secondly you plug the fully charged battery pack into the wire in the hair towel, roll the hair towel up and wait for 12 minutes for the towel to walm up. There are 3 different heat settings to choose from 1,2 and 3 , 3 being the recommended setting and the setting that I used.

While that was warming up I went on to put some hair oil in my locks. I concentrated more on the ends and brought it up onto the scalp ( this product is recommended for the scalp too) using circular motioned to really work that into my hair. This gave me a mini head massage and a spa like feel.

The hair oil is amazing, its not super slippery on the hair but you can tell its on if you know what I mean.
The oil is so hydrating on the hair, I can see why as it contains a  jam packed cocktail of pure and carefully selected ancient hair oils to create a truly effective ritual for both hair and scalp.
It contains oils such as Coconut, olive and avocado oil, we all know how good these oils are for the body and they really penetrate deeply onto the hair shaft to lock in moisture.

It contains other oils such as alma, almond and sesame oils to nourish and hydrate the scalp, and to condition and repair the cuticle of the hair ( the outer layer of hair strands) they have oils such as Argan, hibiscus and basil oil.

The hair oil also helps promote optimal hair growth... YAY

The scent is quite strong, as you can imagine with all the oils , but it also has patchouli, ylang- ylang and rosemary oil that gives you that spa like experience at home.
I personally like the scent and it really relaxes me.

By this point my hair towel was lovely and warm, not too hot but warm enough to encapsulate the oil and help to penetrate it into my hair.

I just flipped my head upside down and created a hair wrap with the towel (as I do every time I wash my hair) and the great thing about this towel is that it has buttons on the nape of the neck and a loop on the other end so that you can really secure the towel to my head and get about my daily business.

You can take the wires out from the towel so you can have a total wire free experience but obviously once the battery pack is removed the heat of the towel decreases. Personally I put on a face mask and sat in bed with the hair towel still plugged in. I had it plugged in for the whole 40 minutes and It never got too hot at all.

After the 40 minutes I removed the towel and this is where I was WOW'ed , my hair felt so so soft and really hydrated, nothing like ive ever tried before.

When I washed my hair I used my normal shampoo, I did wash it 3 times and then followed up with the internsive hydrating conditioner on the mid lengths and ends of my hair, this provides deep nourishment for dry, dull and coloured hair all of which I have. Again this is naturally scented using ylang- ylang , patchouli and rosemary oils.

I love that both of these products are free from artificial fragrance, silicones and parabens

Once I got out of the shower I dried my hair and noticed that there was still oil left in my roots but I think that was me being a little too over generous on the oil on my scalp, so next time I will only put it on my mid lengths and ends.

My ends however had no oil residue just was so silky soft and nourished, I was really really impressed with this product and the heated towel just puts the cherry on top.
